Be sure and follow the directions in the AVG Removal document to remove the old version before using these instructions to install the new version.
You may want to print this document out because you are going to be moved off of this website once you start the install and eventually you will have to reboot you computer. Just a note, this thing is 12 pages long.
Reboot you computer before starting this process then go back to www.spinochio.com and back to this document
Open another copy of Internet Explorer by clicking on it under Start | Programs (or whatever browser you use if you use something other than Internet Explorer. Type the following information into the address bar of the browser

This link will take you to the screen below. Click on Download Now
On this screen click on Run
You will get a progress screen like this showing that it is downloading
Once it has completely downloaded the software you will get the follow screen. Click on Run
Click on Next on this screen.
Click on Accept on this screen.
Click on Accept on this screen.
You will get a progress screen like this one.
On this screen Standard Installation should already be checked. If it isn’t, please check it. Then Click on Next.
Click on Next on this screen, no need to enter or change anything.
Be sure to UNCHECK the box beside Yes, I would like to install the AVG Security Toolbar then click on Next.
Click on Finish on this screen.
If you get this screen, it is telling you that you must close applications that are open. Unfortunately, it is going to force you to close this page of directions.
You will need to click on Next on this screen then OK on the screen following this. Once you get to the Installation is complete screen you may reopen the browser and go back to www.spinochio.com and then back to this page.
Click on Next on this screen.
I suggest that you change the scan time to 1:00AM rather than 12:00PM. If you leave your computer running, AVG will automatically scan the system. If you don’t leave it running it will start a scan as soon as you turn it on. This will slow down the machine for a while during the scan. If this is a, I suggest you leave you computer turned on…I suggest that anyhow. By click on the little up and down arrows change the time to 1:00AM Then click on Next.
Be sure that the check box by Yes, I am happy to provide… is UNCHECKED then click on Next.
Click on Next on this screen.
You may not get this screen if your download is very very new. I the install require updating (the most common situation) you will get a progress screen like this.
Click on Next on this screen.
Click on Next on this screen.
Click on Finish on this screen.
Be sure and reboot you computer once this has completed.
